Titular professor at the Faculty of Economics and Deputy Director of the Institute for Economic Research (IRE). She works in the field of public economics, in particular on the regulation and management of public services, mainly energy - both renewable and non-renewable, water and waste. She is also active as an advisor and researcher for public institutions (Department of Economics and Finance of Canton Ticino, Municipality of Lugano and Bellinzona), SMEs and startups. In recent years, her research has broadened to the energy transition, with special emphasis on the role of utilities and consumers.

Moreno Baruffini, PhD in Economics

Dipl. Ing. Moreno Baruffini is PhD in Economics at the Institute for Economic Research - IRE. Since 2007 he has been working as a research assistant and scientific researcher at Università della Svizzera italiana. He currently works as Project Manager of the Observatory for Economic Dynamics (O-De). His current academic work concerns the analysis of European cross-border labour markets and border-regional economics, specifically focusing on trans-border mobility and “flexicurity”.

Davide Arioldi, PhD in Economics

Davide Arioldi is PhD in Economics at the Institute for Economic Research (IRE) Università della Svizzera italiana. He is responisble for PanelCODE. Previously he was involved in the development of quantitative models for asset allocation and valuations for extraordinary finance transactions. He is interested in studying the interactions between the financial sector and regional growth and inflation dynamics.
